Beyonce

Beyonce Knowles, known these days as only Beyonce, is a singer, songwriter, actress and fashion designer previously of one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, Destiny's Child. During a hiatus from the group, Beyonce released her debut album Dangerously in Love in 2003, which featured the hits “Crazy in Love” and “Baby Boy” among others. The album went on to become one of the best-selling albums of the year and won five Grammy Awards for the singer.

Once Destiny's Child broke up in 2005, Beyonce then released her second album B'Day in 2006, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and spawned the singles “Beautiful Liar” and “Irreplaceable”. By 2008, Beyonce had released her third album entitled I Am... Sasha Fierce and earned the singer another six Grammy Awards, breaking the record for the most Grammys earned by a female artist in the same year.

Beyonce has also found a successful film career with her parts in Austin Powers in Goldmember, The Fighting Temptations, The Pink Panther, Dreamgirls, Cadillac Records, Obsessed and A Star is Born. Also in 2008, Beyonce married rapper Jay-Z, making the pair Hollywood's top-earning couple with a combined worth of over $162 million. Beyonce's third concert tour, I Am... Tour, kicked off in 2009 and visited venues throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
