Chicago formed in 1967 in Chicago, IL, the American rock band Chicago has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years now and are still going strong with one of the most successful careers of any pop/rock groups in the world. Nowadays, Chicago artfully blends classical, jazz, R&B, pop and rock into one entertaining fusion that is instantly recognizable to tens of millions of people around the world. Chicago got its start playing politically charged and sometimes even experimental rock before transitioning to the pop ballads that they are so famous for today. The climax of Chicago's career as a group came in the 70's and 80's, where they produced a steady stream of number one hits and sold millions of records. Chicago's most recent album was released in 2008 and became the 31st studio album from the group. Most recently, Chicago continues to tour with groups such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Doobie Brothers and Huey Lewis and the News not to mention TV appearances on American Idol and on Fremont Street Las Vegas.
