Guns n' Roses

Guns 'N Roses is a hard rock band that formed in Hollywood in 1985, with the only original member still in the group today being lead singer Axl Rose. The current G' N R lineup consists of Rose on vocals, lead guitarists Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal and DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus on rhythm guitar, Tommy Stinston on bass, Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman on keyboards and Frank Ferrer on drums. The group has sold an amazing 100 million albums worldwide with their most recent album, Chinese Democracy certified Platinum in the U.S.

Guns 'N Roses gained commercial success in 1987 with the release of their debut album Appetite for Destruction which featured some of their most popular material to date, including "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child o' Mine, which all made in to the top ten singles' lists in the U.S. To this day, Appetite for Destruction has sold in excess of 28 million albums around the world, plus being certified 18X Platinum in the United States. The group followed up their debut album with G N' R Lies in 1988 and then the two part Use Your Illusion I and II in 1991. The group then filmed a series of expensive videos, which included "November Rain", "Don't Cry" and "Estranged". “November Rain” won the MTV Music Video Award for best cinematography.

After an extended hiatus, Guns 'N Roses released Chinese Democracy in 2008 with a new lineup and concert tour. The group is also rumored to be releasing a trilogy of albums based on Chinese Democracy, with an expected release date for the 2nd installment sometime in 2012. Throughout their career, G 'N R has influenced a number of today's most popular artists, including Marilyn Manson, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock Tool and Avenged Sevenfold among others.
