Journey

 

The "Arena Rock" band Journey formed in California in the 70's and earned their place in history as one of the top-selling groups in the United States. Journey has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and also have the top-selling catalog track in iTunes history with "Don't Stop Believin'".

Journey formed in San Francisco with former members of Santana, Frumious Bandersnatch and The Tubes, but didn't achieve commercial success until they hired Steve Perry as the lead singer of the group. Once Perry was in place, Journey became one the biggest groups of the era releasing hits such as "Who's Cryin' Now", "Open Arms", "Send Her My Love" and "Faithfully" among others.

Today, Journey has a new lead singer with Arnel Pineda, a Filipino Singer/Songwriter and in 2005, the group celebrated their 30th anniversary with their twelfth full length album Generations. In 2008, the band became one of the top grossing acts of the year, earning an incredible $35,000,000 in concert sales.
