Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas

The Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation, the parent organization of the Atomic Testing Museum, was founded in 1998 to preserve the Nevada Test Site legacy and to foster public accessibility to the history of the NTS and the nation’s nuclear weapons testing program.

The Atomic Testing Museum is an Affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution.

Atomic Testing Museum Exhibits

Very Interesting

We stopped at this museum on a recent trip to Vegas (11/10) and were pleasantly surprised. My husband is a big history buff and I thought I would take him there as a surprise. He thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the history of America and how Las Vegas played a part in that. I enjoyed the museum and history is not really my thing. They have a ton of information and artifacts in this museum.

We weren't sure if any of the busses went there so we took a cab there as it was a little ways off the Strip. Museum staff had cab company numbers available to get a return ride to the Strip and the cab was there within minutes. This was a great history lesson and I would recommend it for everyone.

Atomic Testing Museum! WOW!

This is a great Museum! It is very interesting. I really liked how it was set up (very visual). I do not usually like museum's, but this one is great. It was set up where you could spend just as much time as you wanted. I would like to go again! Would Highly Recommend!
