BODIES...The Exhibition in Las Vegas

The Bodies Exhibition is located inside Luxor Las Vegas right off the Strip and it provides an intimate and informative view into the human body. Using an innovative preservation process, the Exhibition allows you to see and celebrate your body’s inner beauty in ways you never dreamed possible.

At Bodies The Exhibition, you can view authentic human specimens illustrate how overeating damages organs and how smoking destroys lung tissue. Showcasing 21 whole body specimens and more than 260 organs and partial body specimens, this exhibition is one of the most popular in the world.

Polymer preservation, the process used to preserve the specimens for BODIES…The Exhibition, is a revolutionary technique in which human tissue is permanently preserved using liquid silicone rubber.

Bodies...The Exhibition, was indeed, a fantastic Las Vegas Attraction!

Aside from the cringe factor, there is exceptional educational value to this exhibit. Set up in sections, this exhibit takes you on a long walk(but not too long) to each of the bodily systems. You get to experience what the entire human nervous system looks like, and, I must tell you, it is beautiful!

Bones are laid out. Fetuses are on parade. The fetuses did freak me out, as I am a woman, but they were displayed with respect. Almost like sick, twisted lava lamps.

To see a cross section of a human body, was, enlightening. To hold a human organ in my hand, was, thrilling!

To see the human body as I've never seen it. Up close. Not in the textbooks of my High School days. But in my face, right next to my nose...was incredible.

You also get to see what a smoker's lungs look like. I must tell you, it's not pretty.

I was, however, washed over with a sense of sadness. The bodies are those of Asian prisoners. Kind of amazing to think that their bodies served a greater purpose post-mortem.

The crowds are big, but don't let that discourage you from looking at each and every display, at length, read each tidbit, see each body.

I've been to this exhibit twice, and will more than likely go again. Bring new people each time you go, and watch their jaws drop!
