We have been staying at the Golden Nugget a couple of times a year for the last 10 years. We love it there and intend on staying and playing there for many more years. I have never had a bad experience there. Vic and Anthony's is a sure bet for great food and a romantic evening. The pool is wonderful, and the view, OMG. Love the Italian restaurant and the Sushi places{can't think of their names, but the food is great.} We have stayed a few times for New Years and it was a wonderful experience. I always get a car and always get great service at the valet parking. Enjoy playing Big Bertha and have won quite a bit each time I've played her.

First let me say that the "best time ever..." review that gave the Nugget all "1's" clearly ment to give all "5's" based on his comments. I'm a fan of downtown and I've stayed at this resort many times and feel it has the best hotel accomodations,restaurants and amenities downtown. Despite this their room rates are very competetive and without resort fees. The only downside is that "full pay" video poker is scarce at the $.25 level and $5 tables fill up fast. Fortunately, the California and Main Street Station are nearby to fill these needs.

The Golden Nugget is my favorite recommendation for those people who never stayed downtown before. The Golden Nugget embodies everything a great hotel casino should be. Two wonderful pools, lots of great restaurant choices, plenty of bars, a good slot club, and easy to navigate. If you can, stay in either the North Tower or The Rush Tower for a better room and a more updated experience. However, most folks will be staying in the Carson Tower that features a bit smaller, but still as nice rooms. For a great evening, dine at Vic and Anthony's Steakhouse then hit the games! Be sure hit up the great cocktail service and make some new friends with the dealers. Many of them have been there for years and can tell you some stories! There are lots of cool lounges to hang out in, and even catch free shows, like the Rush Lounge. If you can score a fun book with the free drinks and buffet you're doing good, as they've tightened up on the giveaways as of late. The pool with the shark tank should keep your kids and wife busy during the day, while you nurse your hangover at the H20 lounge with a cool adult beverage. Also, be sure to walk around all the three levels of the pool for a stunning view of all the pool action! Once you've stayed here at the Golden Nugget and are baptized into the vibe of Fremont Street, you will enjoy coming back again and again.

My wife and i have been to Las Vegas 15 times or more ,I've seen the grand canyon,hoover dam,Liberace house, Wayne newtons house,red foxes house,casinos old then come back to casinos new. we have stayed at MGM casino many times,Ballys casino,Sahara casino ,Flamingo probably the most because of friends,Mirage casino,Four queens, Main street casino,,Imperial Palace casino,Sams place casino but through it all our favorite is THE GOLDEN NUGGET CASINO because of many things with winning not being one of them,the casino is always clean,someone is in every direction to help you,the restaurants are wonderful,the rooms are clean and taken care of which means alot to us ,you have easy access to the whole city because you are close to the bus lines and you can ask where anything is and they tell you very pleasantly with complete directions. my favorite meal is breakfast and theirs is second to no one so you see I highly recommend THE GOLDEN NUGGET TO ANY AND ALL FOR THE BEST TIME IN BEAUTIFUL LAS VEGAS.
