this is my favorite casino/hotel in vegas, we have stayed here several times, the rooms are kind of ordinary but always clean. you get a great view of the vegas area from the outside balconies on all the upper floors. they have a brewery here that makes the best beer Ive ever had! they have one of if not the best buffet, they also have another restaurant next to the brewerie that has excellent food, I cant think of the name of it now, but its the one with the sushi bar. they also have a fancy restaurant inside the train car attached to the hotel which we have never tried but we here a lot of good things about it. the best part is the casino-if you like video poker this is the place to be. be sure and join the players club, they give out scratch cards if you hit a natural four-of-a-kind when betting max, and you can win anywhere from a dollar to 5000 dollars on the scratch cards. I like to play at the bar where you get lots of free drinks, the best poker machines are at the bar. Its not a real big place but thats fine with me, staff has always been very friendly and I always have a good time here. also it is connected to the California hotel/casino so you can easily walk over to there if you want a change of scenery. the rooms are very affordable, I would highly recommend staying at Main Street Station!

Victorian chandeliers, stained glass and 20x odds on the craps tables ... Well worth the walk from Fremont to visit this beautiful little casino. We spent an enjoyable hour simply wondering around and locating the awesome antiqutes on display. They provide a brochure with a map and description of the antiques collected from around the world. The casino bar with the large bronze boar statue is simply beautiful and has become one of our favorite Vegas spots to sip on a drink and relax. They make their own tasty microbrew beer, have the best buffet downtown and is easy to get to via the enclosed walkway to the larger California casino. Though these two Boyd properties are literally joined at the hip, they are also lacking a little on the fun-o-meter as neither offer any sort of live entertainment, nightclubs or even a decent pool area. But for what it is, Main Street is a gorgous spot to spend a few hours.

Main Street is one of the nicest casinos downtown--and that includes the Golden Nugget. The main bar is beautiful and has excellent video poker options. The buffet is very good, particularly for Sunday brunch.

They are part of the Boyd B-Connected players club, which is fairly generous with room comps but not so much with food comps. However you can get a BOGO coupon for the buffet from the Las Vegas Experience website that makes it a great deal without a comp.

simply the best video poker downtown and much, much better than on the strip -- great buffet and cafe -- a comfortable place to stay -- the casino men's room has a real section of the berlin wall on which are mounted three urinals -- fitting -- good free drinks

When Boyd gaming remodeled this older hotel they used a victorian theme in the public areas which is outstanding. The rooms are modern and nice but on the small side typical for the era it was built. The buffet is arguably the best downtown and competes well with the entire city. It does lack a coffee shop/cafeteria but this is more-or-less made up by a covered walkway to the larger California hotel (as is the lack of its own pool). Bar service is great, especially for beer lovers as they feature their own mico-brew products. For me the gaming is a strong point as $5 tables and $.25 "full pay" video poker are plentiful (even though a lot of machines are still coin-in-out.).

This place is simply beautiful.
Even if you don't stay to play you have to go inside and
check it out. Stunning.
We usually stop here for a drink to take a break during the day.
It's just so pretty.
The staff is nice, it's easy to get to, and the drinks are great.
