National Poker League - Paris Open
The National Poker League (NPL), 2007 Global Circuit Tour kicks off with The Paris Open in France on May
13th at the Cercle Gaillon located near the Arc de Triomphe. While other
poker events in France are announcing their withdrawal from the
marketplace, the NPL is set to become the premier poker tour stop in all of
Europe. Since the NPL is a poker league and is not affiliated with an
online gaming partner, the French Government and media have embraced the
Paris Open. Players can be assured that this event will make European
history with an estimated prize pool of Euro 3,500,000.
The inaugural NPL tour stop for 2007 will be televised around the
world, reaching over 500 million households! Viewers in the U.S. will be
able to see the action on CBS TV Station Groups, WGN Superstation and the
INHD High Definition Network. In the home country of the event, France's
TF1, Jet Sports, Eurosport and TV Monte Carlo have all signed on to
broadcast the six, one-hour episodes that the NPL will produce.
The NPL Paris Open features multiple 4,000 + 200 buy-in events from May
13 - 22th culminating with the final table comprised of the previous event
winners on May 22nd. The tournament series will feature Euro 100,000 in
added money, and award an estimated Euro 3,500,000 in prize money. In
addition to France's best, NPL is expecting a good mix of British,
American, Spanish, Moroccan, Asian and Eastern European players.
Taking place in the heart of the City of Lights, the event will offer
players a unique tournament experience that includes first class French
dinners at the Queenie Club. On May 21st the Queenie Club will also host a
Charity Party sponsored by Louis Vuitton, Dior and Patron Tequila; it is
sure to be the hottest VIP party in Paris. The players will also have
access to an exclusive "players only lounge" throughout the tournament.
NPL has established a pre-registration and payment method on the NPL
site http://www.nplworldpoker.com or players can register directly at Cercle
Gaillon With limited seating available, players are
encouraged to sign-up early so as not to miss out. Land based satellite
events are being held on a weekly basis via NPL's casino partners that
include the Cercle Gaillon and Aviation Club in France, the Loose Cannon in
London, Casino de Marrakech in Morocco and the Hollywood Park Casino in Los
Angeles. For more information on satellite schedules please visit the NPL
