The "BUBBLE" has burst at the World Series at Las Vegas
This years World Series at Las Vegas has a different take on the bubble player. The final nine players to bubble the World Series at Las Vegas final event (players 630-621) will get to participate in a sit and go tournament where the winner will receive a buy-in to next years 2008 WSOP final event and a years supply of Milwaukee’s Best Light the official beer of the World Series at Las Vegas.
Going out on the bubble in this years World Series at Las Vegas means that you beat out 5736 players only to go home empty handed after six days of 12 hours of play and one out of the money. This year’s first cash money was at 621 players and was $20,320. The player at this year’s World Series at Las Vegas Main Event that went out on the bubble and is John Sigan from Strongsville, OHIO. John for his last 52K with QQ pushed his chips only to be beaten by Vandy Krouch who held 5 6 of spades to make a straight and end John’s hopes of cashing at the 2007 World Series at Las Vegas.
The bubble did burst for John and he was left standing with applause from the crowd. The tournament director announces to the rest of the crowd “You’re all in the money! Cinderella story would be for John to win the sit and go and participate in 2008 Main Event with hopes of winning the bracelet and of course the prize money.
This years World Series at Las Vegas Main Event Prize pool is $59,784954. first place will pay a whopping $8,250,000. to the winner.
