Batista's Hole In The Wall
Las Vegas Italian Restaurant Review
Want a charming little restaurant with atmosphere? Want some excellent Italian food? Want it close to the strip? Then I've got just the place for you.
It is called Battista's Hole in the Wall and it's located on Audrie just one block from the strip. Simply walk east on Flamingo from Las Vegas Blvd. till you get to Audrie. Battista's is in the strip mall on the corner.
From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you feel like you have been sent back in time. The atmosphere just oozes old time Vegas. I would not have been surprised to see Bugsy Seigel inside. All the tables and booths have the traditional red-checked table cloths. Pictures of Las Vegas luminaries from the past and present cover all the walls. The menus are on the wall and all include the same thing: Entree, soup (minestrone) or salad (Italian), sorbet for dessert and, my personal favorite, a carafe of wine (either red or white).
Their menu includes all the traditional favorites such as spaghetti w/ meatballs, lasagna, numerous chicken dishes, veal, eggplant, and just about anything else you can imagine. I highly recommend the veal parmegian. It comes with a side of pasta and is simply "bellisimo". So, on your next visit to Vegas, give Battista's a shot. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
