This way, you can get experience around the game before you try to play it yourself, so you are not caught by the more experienced players as being new to the Poker style. Here is a short lesson on Texas Hold'Em Poker. There is much more to learn than simply this though, so make sure you are well versed on the subject before you wager anything for real.
Texas Hold'Em Poker is a seven card poker game, which means that each player gets seven cards but the best hand of five is what wins the pot. Playing the game of Texas Hold'Em Pokeris actually fairly simple, and involves dealing two cards face-down to each player. Now a round of betting will commence, followed by dealing three more cards in the center of the table. These cards are "common" to each player, which means everyone shares the same cards for those three. Now another round of betting follows, followed by dealing another card but face up this time. Another round of betting follows this hand, which is then followed by the final card being dealt face up. After this card is dealt, one more round of betting will complete the hand, and the player who has the best hand between his two cards and the five cards in the "flop" is the winner of the hand.
The largest difference between Texas Hold'Em Poker and other styles of poker is that in Texas Hold'Em Poker, you deal with seven cards rather than the typical five cards, and that all the players at the table share the cards in the flop and only have two cards of their own. During the lengthy betting process, every player has the option of calling, raising or folding their hand if they do not want to bet.
The best hands that you can start with in Texas Hold'Em Poker are pairs, typically starting with the aces and going down to the pairs of queens. Other great hands are ace king suited or not suited. You may also play lower ranking hands in hopes that cards in the flop complete whatever hand you are going for. Truly, the starting hand can be nearly any two cards because the flop cards my complete the hand for you. However, you should always hope for some pair of cards in your starting hand in order to score a high hand after all seven cards in the hand are drawn.
