Turbo Texas Hold'em for Windows

Extensive work has been done to improve the advice and quality of play. Advice is situation specific and is based on many factors. Your hand, your position, the status of the pot and the number of opponents with money in the pot are major considerations. Advice is then further customized based on the type of game. This means that V6 gives tailored advice which is different for loose, passive games than it is for loose, aggressive games or for average games or for tight, aggressive games, etc. Dramatic increases in effectiveness have resulted in 40% to 75+% increase in profitability as compared to V5.

Learn how to beat the rake. Rake reduces profitability and affects the playability of some hands. As the rake goes up, all hands show a drop in profit. However, weaker hands lose a lot more percentage wise than stronger hands. The impact of rake is more severe at lower limits. To help you understand this and to enable you to overcome the impact of the rake, advice in V6 not only takes into account all of the factors described above, it was further customized for games with and without rake at specific betting limits. This information is shown on the advisor screens.

Find out more about how the rake effects profitability and playability.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been expanded including observing and adjusting to your playing style and that of your opponents.

The "Begin a new game" option and the "Challenge the Advisor" feature have each been expanded to allow you to choose the level of competition. There are nine different choices:

  1. A low limit and very passive game

  2. A low limit and passive game

  3. loose and very passive game

  4. A loose and passive game

  5. A loose and aggressive game

  6. An average and passive game

  7. An average and aggressive game

  8. A tight and aggressive game

  9. A game using the current lineup. This lets you customize any game.

Learning how to read your opponents (also called an Awareness Contest) is an important new feature. The Contest is similar to playing a challenge. For each Contest, you play a fixed number of hands. During the Contest, you should concentrate less on winning money and more on what's going on at the table in general and on the actions of each opponent. There are two levels of awareness: 1. Awareness of the nature of the overall game 2. Awareness of the style of each opponent

60 different player faces were created and added to the program for optional use.

Custom graphics have been added for more screen resolutions. New graphics include card table, cards, chips and player faces (see below). Older versions supported 3 resolutions, now there are 8:

640x480
800x600
1024x768
1280x800
1280x1024
1600x1200
1680x1050
1920x1200

You can select a lower screen resolution so the program will not occupy the full screen.

Sidewinder Sid (optional feature) speaks better (no delays) on Win XP systems.

Added ability to turn off unlimited heads•up raising.

New intro "movie"

NEW FEATURES ADDED IN VERSION 5.0

New Graphics -The card table, the cards and the chips have been redesigned to look more realistic. They now look similar to those used for on-line play. "Because you can play a large number of hands over the course of a two-hour or three-hour session, Turbo Texas Hold'em offers an opportunity to discover and analyze your own live game shortcomings...There's no better poker software on the market at any price. My advice to you is simple: Buy it, use it, and watch your play improve."

An option has been added to kill the rake if there is no flop. Chop The Blinds - An option has been added to chop the blinds when there are no callers. Color Bet Action Buttons - "Incorrect" bet action choices are optionally shown in red (as a warning). Zip Button Easier To Use -The "Zip to the end " button is moved to the far left.
