We normally stay at the MGM or at the Golden Nugget in the new Rush Tower. We knew the rooms would be nice but had no idea just how much we would enjoy them. The rooms were spacious and clean. We loved the sunken living room. I loved the makeup table. I'm used to having my makeup and hair tools strung across the bathroom counter. It was nice to have a place devoted to these items. The bed was comfortable and pillows were nice. The location of the hotel in relation to others was good for our needs. Same with the amenities of the hotel. They were good for what we wanted but we really didn't spend much time there other than hanging out in our room between daily activities and then sleeping at night. The rooms were nothing special, but they were clean and tidy. The hotel has a good selection of bars and restaurants and the staff was uniformly friendly. The pool area was well-kept if uninspired. I had the misfortune of being there during spring break so there were a lot of kids running around. Not exactly the most relaxing thing, but that's my fault for booking during that time. My least favorite thing about Harrah's would have to be the casino. The layout makes it seem small and the colors are garish (even more so than in a typical casino!). What makes Harrah's for me is it's great location. It feels like it's smack-dab in the middle of everything. There is a little outdoor area with shops and kiosks hawking t-shirts and various other souvenirs. It is adjacent to Carnaval Court, a fun outdoor area with a bar and live music. I would probably stay at Harrah's again although I do have other properties that I like better. The staff is extremely friendly, and the rooms have always been spacious and clean. The casino has a lot of the games I like to play. I love that Bally's is connected to Paris. It really makes me feel like I have access to two properties in one. The restaurant choices leave a little something to be desired (another reason why it's great to be connected to Paris - better food!). However, I do enjoy that they have made the Sbarro downstairs a 24 hr establishment. It is adequate with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The casino is a little small and crowded but you can't beat the location. Location on the strip is the best. Bally's has a very good casino and through the walkway is connected to Paris. You never have to go outside if you don't want to. The people are great there. I like to stay in the front tower but the other rooms are quite comfortable. Restraunts are very good, quick service, with attentive people that are always trying to help. I have not stayed there in a couple of years but after staying and trying other hotels i am looking forward to returning to Bally's.
