Our last couple of stays showed significant deterioration in the hotel and the casino. Our room was not clean, the curtains were falling off of the curtain rods, laying on the floor. The fitted sheet on our bed did not fit properly...it kept popping off of the mattress. The towels were worn thin. The carpet needed to be cleaned. It was overall disgusting and we will never stay there again. The only good thing about it was that it was really inexpensive! We had a GREAT view of the top of the parking garage and air ducting from our room. We keep going back there because they have cheap rates AND great services. We like the casino. my wife likes all the different slots and I like the table games. I've even played in their poker room and their staff is very good there too. My kids love the level with all the shops and all of us really love the 8th floor pool area. It's huge and it has great views of the Red Rock Canyon and the large strip hotels. I would recommend getting a rental car since it is a long ways away from the strip and from downtown. When you stay there you get free unlimited access to the top of the tower and the views are breathtaking. I have ridden two of the rides and they are a blast. You can't be afraid of heights though. We like it due to the fact more older people stay, (NO KIDS running around). Las Vegas is a play ground for adults, not to have kids every where. I'm not against Children as we have 5 and more than a dozen grand-children. Its some of the newer casino cater to familys with children. The room was huge, well-kept, and clean. Although a family hotel, we found it to be quiet, even at the weekend, when families tend to takeover this child-friendly hotel. The staff were polite and helpful, with no exceptions. The facilities were more than adequate for our needs. They have quite a few shops inside the hotel/casino, which are not too pricy. There are a few places to eat here, the buffet being very popular. We ate here twice, and were not disappointed. I recommend their pulled pork. Delicious!!! They have the usual McDonalds for the kids too, and a Krispy Kreme outlet. As for the location. I admit it would have been nice to be a bit closer to the middle of the strip, but the Deuce bus, which travels up and down the Strip, stops right outside Slots A Fun, owned by CC, and just next door. So, with a $7 ticket for 24 hours, or a $20 ticket for 3 days, it was no big deal. We thought the room was well worth what we paid. A very large, comfortable bed. And a decent view of the Strip. Can't be bad!!! As for the casino, that was a lot of fun. Plenty slots, table games. More than adequate for our needs. Plus the free circus acts each night. And the indoor adventure park, called Adventuredome, was busy more at the weekend, when families were in town.
