If you visit Ethel M on the days when the factory is running, you get to see the actual process of making chocolates. We have been there a couple of times -- once when the factory was running, and another time when we watched videos on the chocolate making process (the factory was not running). At the end of the tour you are offered a free sample. You then get to shop for chocolate! It was fun and we were given free stuff (key chain, coupons, T-shirts, etc.). We watched a couple of shows (yet to be released) and were asked questions about our feelings regarding the shows. We watched a rather entertaining comedy and my husband and I were the only people laughing out loud! It was funnny! I guess we were there to really help CBS with their evaluation vs. being there just for the free stuff! It is also cool to see the crowd gather under the big awning and everyone gets quiet when the show starts! We always make a point to visit the Freemont Street Experience every time we are in Vegas! A nice stroll down this street is a cool experience With all the lights an arch of lights that seem to go on forever that change constantly while playing all kinds of music from new to oldies. It's amazing that they can get that many cars on one floor of a hotel! The cars were amazing and there was a huge variety....everything from the Rolls Royce down to a VW bug (the tuxedo bug was my favorite!). The living statues were something that we expected to see while walking through the Venetian. They were good. We didn't expect the serenaders though. At first I was thinking...ok, seriously? I wondered if they were on break from some other show in the hotel. Then they started singing. I was pleasantly surprised at how they just seemed to fit into the environment. They were not obtrusive or obnoxious and wandered while they serenaded. They left us with a smile on our face. I had been to Vegas twice before heading down to Fremont on my third trip. Amazing! We took the bus (which I would recommend over a cab) and when the bus pulled up the overhead light show was not going. It was as if they were waiting for us because as soon as we stepped off the bus and onto Fremont Street the ceiling lit up and the most amazing light and sound show began. I looked down Freemont to check things out and was in awe that everyone had stopped the party and was watching the overhead screen. It was the coolest experience!
