Journey back in time when travel was a true adventure. Experience the beauty of the untouched wilderness at Grand Canyon West. Operated by the Hualapai Indians, this same day round trip bus tour will provide you with stunning views of the Grand Canyon and the best views of the Colorado River from the rim of the canyon.
Your tour begins with a drive to Hoover Dam, which you will cross to the Arizona side for a brief photo opportunity. Make sure you have your camera for pictures of the Dam, Lake Mead, and the Colorado River. As you continue on check out Fortification Hill (built to guard the dam during WWII). As your tour continues through the Southwest desert, you'll pass through a 900 year old Joshua Tree Forest, one of the largest of its kind.
You will arrive at Grand Canyon West in time for a barbecue lunch (included) prepared by members of the Hualapai Tribe. Eat on the spectacular rim of the Grand Canyon. After lunch take time to walk along the rim, unblemished by modern civilization. See the Great Thunderbird image nature created. Before you leave you will have time to browse the authentic curios and art objects the tribal craftsmen have on display.
This is a wonderful experience. An opportunity to view the canyon in its rustic nature.
